Miss Emily Motichka visited her parents last weekend, Mr. Mastechage has purchased the garage of Mr, Hunter and will soon be ready to do all kinds of repairs of cars. Mrs. Jesta Schoonover is some what improved. Kenneth Harding and family have moved from Washington, D.C. to a cottage at Falls. Mrs, Blanche Keithline spent two weeks with her sister-in-law and family in York State. HARVEY'S LAKE Rev, and Mrs, James J, Hilbert of McClune, N. Y., were guests of Mr, and Mrs. Stephen J. Ward of Harvey's Lake, over the Thanks- giving holiday. While in this area they attended the annual football game between Kingston Township and Dallas Township teams. When they returned home on Friday morning Lois, the youngest daughter of the Ward's went with them to spend the weekend. Mrs. Ward and daughter, Lillian, then motored to McClure to spend Sun- day with them and brought Lois back with them. Mr. and Mrs. George Armitage had as guests on Thanksgiving Mr. and Mrs, Marion Avery, Lois Avery, Mrs. Gertrude Dunsavage, Mr, and Mrs. Stanley Kapson, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Avery and sons and Sam Eggleston. Mr, and Mrs, Herman Garinger entertained at Thanksgiving din- ner, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Kuchta and daughter Judy, of Hazleton, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Rauch, son Bradley, Mr. and Mrs, Albert Armi- tage, Jessie Armitage, and Lloyd Garinger. Mr. E.'S. Stem Sr. of Binghamton and Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Stem Jr, spent the Thanksgiving holiday at their home here Dr. J. S. Warkomski who has been ill several weeks is able to be about again, and will be at his dentist's office in Luzerne this week, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Garinger, Arnold Garinger, Mr, and Mrs, Ly- man Hausch, Mr. William Hausch, and Mr, and Mrs. James Worth and son, all were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Kline at Kingston on Thanks- giving day. Mr, and Mrs. Lewis Chambers and children, who have been living in the Allen double block, have moved to Blackman street, in ‘Wilkes-Barre. PIKES CREEK Clarence Hagel is again a patient in the Nanticoke State Hospital. The regular morning church ser- vice was not held at this place Sunday in order that members might attend the special service at the Meeker Church, where a num- ber of memorials and gifts were dedicated. Dorothy Cornell, supervisor of music in The State College elemen- tary public’ schools spent the Thanksgiving vacation period with her parents, Mr. and Mrs, Willard Cornell. Sunday afternoon her fam- ily drove her back to State Col- lege. Mr, and Mrs. Frank Dennis, Jr., are the proud parents of a son born at Wyoming Valley Hospital November 29. Mrs, Dennis is the former Dolores Moyer. Mr, and Mrs. Kenneth Williams had as guests for Thanksgiving din- ner Mrs, Walter Roberts of West Pittston; Miss R. Blanche Ruggles, Kingston; Mr. and Mrs, Myron Trumbower, South Williamsport, and Ezra Daniels. Several local hunters were suc- cessful in getting a deer at the be- ginning of the deer season. Among the lucky ones were Paul Williams; William DeRemer, Sr.; Wayne Rug- gles, Wilford Ide, Sheldon Hoover, and Lloyd Rogers. Attendance at the November birthday party was smaller than usual because of the snowy even- ing, Winner of the door prize was Elwood Ruckel, Lake Silkworth. It was suggested that those who at- tend the December party, the date to be announced, bring a wrapped Christmas gift so that gifts may be exchanged. Friday evening, December 2, the W. S. C.
