Final Plans Made
For New Church
Vestrymen of Prince of Peace
Episcopal Church met Wednesday
night at the home of Elwood C.
Hudson, and approved final plans
and specifications for the new
building, Edmund G. Hildebrand,
junior warden, architect, said, “It
is hoped ground can be broken by
mid-August.
Plans were also made for the
preparation of a brochure which
will contain a history of the Prince
of Peace parish, photographs of the
new church, with floor plans, in-
terior and exterior designs, pictures
of church groups, and a description
of the needs, aims and objectives
of the parish.
Members of the vestry, and of the
committee for preparing the bro-
church, will meet next Wednesday
evening, July 20 at the home of
Donald J. Evans, Church street,
Dallas,

Funeral Services for Clarence J.
Covert, were held from the family
home at Loyalville Thursday after-
noon at 2 o'clock with Rev. Ira
Button in charge. Burial was in
Maple Grove Cemetery.
A native of Courtdale, Mr. Covert
served as fire truck driver in Kings-
ton for twenty one years and as
police officer for the Hudson Coal
Company for twenty years. When
he retired, he came to Loyalville
to make his home,
Music at the funeral was fur-
nished by old family friends, Mrs.
Fred Whitesell and Miss Bess Kline-
tob, who sang “The Old Rugged
Cross” and “Shall We Meet Beyond
the River”, favorites of Mr. Covert,
Bearers were: Stanley Keller,
Charles Updyke, Milton Ruggles,
William Garnet, William Cragle and
Wayne Gordon.
