Wesleyan Service Guild, Trucks-
ville Methodist Church will meet at
the Blase cottage at Harvey's Lake
on Saturday. It will be an all day
affair and refreshments will ‘be in
form of a covered dish.

Old Forge, N. Y. where they spent
the latter part of their vacation in
the Adirondack Mountains. The
Barricks then spent the latter part
of the week with Mrs. Barricks’
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Burton Wil-
cox and family of Harvey's Lake.
They returned to their home on
Father's Day.

Dick Major has returned to his
home in Indianapolis, Ind. after
spending two weeks with his
mother, Mrs. Carrie Caperoon of
Franklin Street. Ira Morris will ar-
rive next week to visit Mrs, Cape-
roon and his mother, Mrs. Allie
Morris.
Members of the Kuehn and Kray-
bill families enjoyed a picnic at
Ricketts Glen over the holiday.

Lake left Tuesday for New York
City where she will study at New
York University for six weeks.
While in New York she will live
with her brother and sister-in-law,

James Kistlers spent the weekend

Alan Kistler of Harvey's Lake.
Mr. and Mrs. Homer Middleton
have returned to. their home at
Idetown after attending the wed-
ding of Kathryn Lou McNair and
and Laurence B. Leinbeck at Win-
ston-Salem, N. C. Sunday the Mid-
dletons went to Berwick to see
Mrs, Middleton’s brother and sis-
ter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Darwin
Klinetob of Chicago, Ill, who have
just returned from Switzerland.
The Klinetobs are wisiting Mrs.
Klinetob’s mother, Mrs. H. L. Kline-
tob before returning to their home.

Hosts at Family Picnic
Mr. and Mrs. Ord Trumbower of
Huntsville road entertained at a
Trumbower reunion picnic Satur-
day evening in honor of Pfe. Rob-
ert Nulton and Sgt. John Nulton,
sons of Mr. and Mrs. John Nulton
of Lehman. The boys, nephews of
Ord, are stationed in Texas.
Present were: Mr. and Mrs. John
Nulton and son, Ord, Mr, and Mrs.
Martin Mathes and daughters Flor-
ence and Marian, Mr. and Mrs. Ed-
ward Trumbower and Edward 2nd,
Miss Alice Comisky, Mr. and Mrs.
Earl Craig, Jane Coolbaugh, Doug-

Ice Cream Social
Company will hold an ice cream
social at Norris Glen on the Hill-
side road, Wednesday evening,
July 13. Home made ice cream
and cake will be for sale and there
will be other refreshments.

James Franklin who has been a
hospital patient returned to his
home on Franklin street on July
4. He has made fine progress and
is almost as good as ever,

to his home from Mercy Hospital.

visiting relatives in Buffalo.
Lois Griesing, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Herbert Griesing spent
the holiday with her parents.

was the scene of a pretty wedding
on Sunday when Shirley Doris
Brown, Shaver Avenue, Shaver-
town became the bride of Donald

the double ring ceremony before
an altar decorated with palms,
ferns and large wedding baskets
filled with white gladioli and pink

wide bertha of Chantilly lace. The
gown was designed with a fitted
bodice, long pointed sleeves and
full skirt with inserts of lace and
satin ruffles with a long oval train.
Her fingertip veil of illusion and
lace fell from a crown of orange
blossoms and she carried an arm
bouquet of white roses and baby’s
breath,
Matron of honor, Mrs, Allen
Montross, sister of the bride was
attired in gown of orchid sheer
marquisette over taffeta, designed
with an off shoulder neckline trim-
med with chantilly lace. It was
made with a fitted bodice and a
gracious skirt with bustle back. She
wore a large lace picture hat and

aqua printed bemberg sheer with
black hat and accessories and car-
ried yellow roses.
The mother of the bridegroom
chose a pink sheer crepe with white
hat and accessories and yellow
roses.
Following the ceremony a recep-
tion was held in the church par-
lors and the couple left on a trip to
the Great Lakes. For going away
the bride wore a light green sheer
dress with white hat and access-
ories and orchid corsage.
They will reside at 186 Shaver
avenue.
Miss Lois May Griesing, Engaged
To Richard Gordon Phillips
Mr. and Mrs, Herbert Griesing,
Franklin street, Dallas announce the
engagement of their daughter, Lois
May to Richard Gordon Phillips,
son of Mrs. Florence Phillips, Nor-
ton avenue, Dallas. The wedding
will take place September 10.
Miss Griesing is a graduate of
Dallas Borough High School and
University of Pennsylvania Hospital
from which she graduated in June.
She will complete her studies there
on August 31. :
Mr. Phillips is a graduate of
Wyoming Seminary and is em-
ployed at Midvale Shops, Lehigh
Valley Coal Company, Wilkes-Barre.
He served two years in the Pacific
area as a member of the U. S,
Navy during World War II

pound baby boy in Princeton Hos-
pital, Saturday, July 2. The Creag-
