Mrs. R. H. Scureman, 81, for-
merly of Dallas and Kingston, died
yesterday afternoon at Masonic
Hospital, Elizabethtown.
Mrs. Scureman, the mother of
Murray S. Scureman, Huntsville
Road, Dallas, had been a patient |
at Nesbitt Memorial Hospital un-
til her removal to Elizabethtown
in February.
A woman of wide interests, she
was until stricken several years
ago, active in civic, social and
church affairs of Wyoming Valley.
She was a member of Kingston
Methodist Church. /
Beside her son, she leaves a sis-
ter, Mrs. W. W. Baker, Walnut
Street, Kingston, and a grandson,
Murray Scureman, Jr. of Dallas.
Private funeral services will be
held Monday July 4, at 10 AM.

For Warren Yeisley

Born in Kingston, August 29,
1883, the son of George and Lydia
Wardan Yeisley, he was educated
in Wilkes-Barre City Schools. Em-
ployed as a stenographer at.Lehigh
Valley Coal Company and Vulcan
Iron Works, he later served the
law firm of Wheaton, Darling and
Woodward. He became stenogra-
pher for Judge J. B. Woodward and
in 1914 was appointed Luzerne
County Court Stenographer, ably
serving untill his illness forced
cessation of the work he had done
for 35 years.
Mr. Yeisley was married to the
former Maude McCoy, who sur-
vives. Besides his wife he leaves
these children, Darrell, Kingston,
Mrs. Earl VanCampen, Dallas and
John, Shavertown. He is also sur-
vived by his father, George W.
Yeisley, Marshall's Creek; brothers
and sisters, Willard Yeisley, Ply-
mouth; Robert Yeisley, Forty-Fort,
Mrs. James Williams, Sweet Val-
ley, Mrs. Carl Hooker, Riffton and
Mrs. Lamont Bartholomew, New
Holland. Also nine grandchildren.
On July 10, Holy Communion
will be given at Trucksville Meth-
odist Church.
