last week end their son, George

weekend another son, Mr. and Mrs.

Mr .and Mrs. Leonard Derby and
daughter Louise, of Huntsville road
were Thanksgiving dinner guests
of Miss Ruth Lamoreux at Shaver-
town.
Mr. and Mrs. Newton Daven-
port and son, Bobbie of Kunkle-
town have been spending the week-
ends with Mrs, Davenport’s mother,
Mrs. .G. L. Howell of Carverton
road. Dr. Howell is still a patient
at Nesbitt Hospital.
Mrs. T. M. B. Hicks Jr, of De-
munds road has returned after
spending several weeks with her
mther, Mrs. M. L. Todd at Charlet-
sn, S.C.
Mr. and Mrs. Raymon Hedden
of Machell avenue have as week
end guest the former's sister, Miss
Emily . Hedden -of Carlisle. For
Thanksgiving dinner Mrs. Hedden’s
family, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Tur-
ner and Tom Jr, of Nanticoke were
guests at the Hedden home.
Mr. and Mrs. Wililam Yaple and
son, Bill, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert
Allegar were guests of Mr. and
Mrs. Francis Lewis on Sunday. Mrs.
Miriam White of Philadelphia
arrived Friday to spend several
days with Mr. and Mrs. Lewis.
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Boston
and daughter, Priscilla were the
guests of Mrs. Walter B. Risley
over the holiday.
Arthur Mangan, Harrisburg, and
John F. Freeman, Jr., Narberth, re-
cently visited Mr. and Mrs. John
C. Bush, Church street, Dallas.
Mr. and Mrs. J. Franklin Rob-
inson of Mt. Greenwood road had
as Thanksgiving dinner guests Mr.
and Mrs. George Bonning and Mr.
and Mrs. Eugene Gonfer of West
Pittston.

of the month to make their home
at 9603 Riley Place, Silver Springs,
Maryland.
Marilyn Ohlman, student at
Temple University, is spending the
holiday weekend with her parents,

R. L. Brickel returned to his
home on Main road Sunday after
spending several weeks as a patient
at General Hospital.

Hilbert, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Wesley Hilbert. Her sister, Mrs.

day weekend visiting Mr. and Mrs.
Carl Boyer at Lodi, N.Y.. Mrs.
Harold D. Turn who has been

Roscoe Lee of Terrace road last
week. He came here to attend

Shavertown announce the marriage
of their daughter, Dorothy Reese to’
Harry P. Hart, Trucksville.
The double ring ceremony was
performed by Rev. Bernard Grogan
in St. Therese’s Church, Shaver-
town on Saturday, November 6,
at 11:15 AM.
Mrs.

Daughter Of C. Ray Flanagans
To Wed RB. A. Baumgartner Saturday
Mrs. C. Ray Flanagan of Church
street left Tuesday for Detroit,
Mich., where she will attend the
wedding of her daughter, Alicia
Ann, to Raymond Alfred Baumgart-
ner. Rev. Father Edward Baum-
gartner, uncle of the bridegroom,
will perform the double ring cere-
mony in the Gesu Church Satur-
day, November#27, at 11 o’clock.
Attendants will be Mrs. Barrett
Coxe, sister of the bride, and Ed-
ward Baumgartner, brother of the
bridegroom.
Miss Flanagan will wear soldier
blue street length dress with gray
accessories and shoulder bouquet
of white orchids. Mrs. Coxe has
chosen sand crepe with brown ac-
cessories and yellow pompoms. Mrs.
Flanagan, mother of the bride, will
wear teal blue with brown acces-
sories and Mrs, Baumgartner, du-
bonnet with gray. Their shoulder
bouquets will be of pompoms.
Following the ceremony, a re-
ception for about two hundred
guests will be held at the Canter-
bury House.
Miss Flanagan is a graduate of
Michigan State College. She is em-
ployed as artist in the advertising
department of the J. L. Hudson
Store, Detroit. Mr. Baumgartner
served for four years in the India-
Burma section with the U. S. Mar-
ines. He is now a member of the
Junior Class at University of De-
troit.
