Sunday School Week
| September 19 to 26
National Sunday School Week
will be observed throughout the
State and Nation from September
19 to 26, and Governor Duff, not-
ing the observance, has called for
local campaigns in every borough,
township and city ‘to stimulate
Sunday School attendance.”
“Pennsylvania, the very home of
religious freedom in America, is
an intenseley religious Common-
wealth,” the Chief Executive com-
mented. - “It will be fitting and
proper if Pennsylvania assumes a
real leadership in this observance
by local campaigns in every bor-
ough, township and city to stimu-
late Sunday School attendance and
most important—to show increased
attendance.”
He noted that “it might be an
excellent idea” to emphasize that
Sunday Schools make better citi-
zens, and that Sunday School
teachers should be encouraged in
their work with more adequate
facilities provided for them to ac-
complish their mission.
