nual national college testing pro-
gram sponsored by the committee
on guidance and measurement of
American [Council of Education.
The tests were designed primarily

Three Local Firms
Join Blue Cross
Official approval to enter its ninth
consecutive year of operation as a
“Blue [Cross Plan” has been received
by Hospital Service Association of
Northeastern Pennsylvania from
the American Hospital Association's
Blue Cross Commission, ‘Chicago, it
is announced following March meet-
ing of board of directors of the
Northeastern [Pennsylvania Plan
held recently in Wilkes-Barre gen-
eral offices.
In line with approval standards
which must be met annually by
all of the mon-profit Blue Cross
Plans, including ‘equitable fpay-
ments to hospitals” (for services
rendered hospitalized Blue [Cross
members) and “sound financial
condition”, the N. E. Pennsylvania
Plan is now completing issuing mo-
tices to group members of ithe slight
rate increase effective April 1. The
increase ranges from five cents to
twelve and one half cents per per-
person, with the new schedule on
the semi-private agreements: “In-
dividual”, 85 «cents; ‘‘2-Person”,
$1.70, and “Family”, $2.25.
Group enrollment continues
steadily throughout al] thirteen of
the Northeastern Pennsylvania
counties served by this Plan, with
these groups in this area among
those recently enrolled: Hislop’s
Economy Market, Hislop’s Restaur-
ant, and L. E. Williams, at Alder-
ton.
