DAN CUPID HITS JACKPOT
AT FIRST NATIONAL WITH
FOUR WEDDINGS SCHEDULED
Sly Dan Cupid hit the jack
pot this spring at First Nation-
al Bank when he shot his
magic arrow clean through the
hearts of four.of the employees,
leaving helpless “Doc Jeter”
and Cashier “Pop” Eck a little
jittery about the overdraft.
First to ‘upset the apple
cart” will be Doris Stookey
when she marries Harold
Brobst on Saturday. One of
her attendants will be Mrs.
Robert Brown, also a bank em-
ployee and bride of last spring.
Jane Case and Donald Davis
will take the fatal step May
4 and Pauline Shaver and Ed-
win Roth on May 25. Billie
Baker has promised to wait
until June 9 before he marries
Margaret Dinges whom he met
while training with the Air
Corps at Lincoln, Neb.
' But, since “every body loves"
a’ lover,” townsfolks are pre-
paring to put up with incorrect
balances, overcharges and even
bank holidays— and get a
whale of a kick out of it!
