Leland, who is a patient at Harris-
burg State Sanatorium.
Bernard Dymond spent the past
week with his parents at Nanti-
coke.
Mr. and Mrs. William A. Austin
of Beaumont and Rev. Korb were
guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Eg-
gleston Tuesday evening.
Mrs. Clarence Besteder, R. N,, is
ill at the home of her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Clyde Eggleston.
" Mr. and Mrs. Alva Eggleston
were weekend guests of Mr. and
Mrs. Kenneth Besteder of Harris-
burg.
Mrs. Wilbur Evans and son, Wes-
ley, of East Dallas were guests of
Mr. and Mrs. William Evans on
Sunday. Mr. Evans is ill.
Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Treible were
Sunday guests of Mr. and S.
Floyd Besteder.
Jack Brown, S1/C, is spending a
furlough with his parents, Mr. and

Phil Thomas, who his been ill
for quite some time, is slightly
improved.
Mrs. A. J. Garinger spent Friday
at the home of her son and daugh-
ter-in-law Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Gar-
inger. Mrs. Garinger was 87 years
old on Sunday. She had as guests,
and Mrs. George Harlos. The W. S.
C. S. of Alderson Church sent her
a beautiful bouquet of flowers.
Mrs. Florence Conden, Mrs. El-
wood Conden and children, Jennie
Lee and Charlie, spent Sunday with
Mrs. Merle Conden and New Year's
Day with Mr. and Mrs. Ed Conden
at Beaumont.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Armitage
entertained on Sunday, Mr. and
Mrs. George Broby and son of
Larksville.
Joan and Jimmy Cowan, children
of Mr. and Mrs. John Cowan, are
able to be up about the house after
being confined to their beds for the
past two months.
Mr. and Mrs. William Richards
of Endicott spent the holiday with
their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank
Jackson and Mrs. Ann Richards.

pital in that city, after serving in

home in Jersey City after spending
the holiday week with relatives

Lewis Linsinbigle, Petty Officer,
3rd Class, returned to his base on
Sunday after spending a ten-day
furlough with his mother, Mrs.
Emma Linsinbigle.
P. F. C. Dennis Bonning of Cherry
Point, N. C., returned to his camp
on December 27, after spending a
15-day furlough with his family
here.
Mr. .and Mrs. James Roushey en-
tertained their son and daughter-
in-law, Mr. and Mrs. William
Roushey, of Newark, N. J. last
weekend.
