PAGE TWELVE To Show Fashions At Garden Party Hospital Auxiliary Will Sponsor Fete On June 3 A beautiful and varied fashion show will feature the annual Garden Party and social of the Nesbitt Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Saturday, June 3, in the walled garden of Abram Nesbitt, 2nd, on Maple Avenue, Kingston. All branches of the auxiliary will cooperate in planning for the affair, under the chairmanship of Mrs. Wil- liam Fahey of the Dorranceton unit. The Garden Party will climax a series of outstanding social events sponsored during the winter by the Nesbitt Aux- Dany An attendance of 600 is expect- ed. “Mrs. James Lare of Charles Street is chairlady of the Luzerne committee, which includes Mrs. Stanley Johnson, Mrs. Ruby Paulash, Mrs. W. Township Wallops Borough Dallas Township High defeated Dallas Borough 9-1 on the Township diamond Wednesday afternoon behind the ef- fective pitching of Mahler and Knecht, who held the borough batters to three hits. The annual Mothers’ Day service will be held at Outlet Free Methodist Church on May 14, at 7:30. The pas- tor, Rev. Marjorie S. Charney, prominent Swoyerville resident and dis- tributor for the Luzerne Milling Com- pany, will be held tomorrow (Satur- day) morning at 9 from the home, 37 Sidney Street, with a requiem mass at 9:30 in St. Mary's Polish Church, Swoyerville. Interment will be in the Mr. Charney died of complications ! Monday night in Nesbitt Memorial Hospital, Kingston, following an opera- tion. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann, a daughter, Geraldine, at home; moth- er, Mrs. George Molar, own sister, Mrs. Joseph Yarine, a step-brother and step- sister, August and Anna Molar, all of West Wyoming. THE DALLAS POST, Tunkhannock Trucker Hurt Terry Coolbaugh of Lake Carey, truck driver for the Country Delivery Ser- vice of Tunkhannock, was very seri- ously injured Tuesday when the rim of a truck tire he was repairing blew off and struck him on the head. He was taken to the State Hospital at Scranton. Club Climaxes Season With Hit Minstrel Show A successful all-girl minstrel show, staged two weeks ago in the church auditorium, finished winter activities for the Girls’ Dramatic Club of St. John’s Slovak Church. Rounding out its fourth year, the organization occupies an important place in social activities at St. John’s and the work of its members has at- tracted increasing attention. Honorary president is Rev. George A. Bendik, pastor of St. John’s. Mrs. Mary Breznay is acting president, Miss Mary Charnitsky, vice-president; Miss Anna Shinal, treasurer; Miss Adel Psolka, secretary. Mrs. Anna Zelenak, a charter member of the club, is pub- licity agent, and was general chairman of the minstrel. Mrs. Emily Kovacs, Miss Adela Psol- ka and Miss Mary Kosko were soloists in the minstrel, and other important players were Miss Anna Kosko, Miss Helen Hruska and Mrs. Anna Zelenak. She was treated for arm and leg injuries at Nes- bitt Memorial Hospital about 9 o’clock Monday night and released. Swoyersville Widow Dies Of Long Illness Funeral services for Mrs. Stefania Yarzinski, prominent resident of Swoyerville, were held yesterday morn- ing from her home, 129 Simpson Street, with a requiem mass in St. Mary's Church. Interment was in the parish cemetery, Swoyerville. Ill for several months, Mrs. Yarzinski passed away early Sunday morning. Her husband, Frank, died two years ago. She was a devout member of St. Mary’s Polish Church, Wilkes-Barre, and its societies, belonged to Lodge 430, Z. N. P., Polish Women’s Mutual Aid Society and Polish Women’s Na- tional Alliance.
