In a beautiful wedding ceremony
Wednesday evening at 8, Miss Jean
Turner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.
L. Turner of Huntsville road, was
given in marriage 'by her father to
Ralph Eason Evans, son of Mr. and
Mrs.. Raymond . H. Evans of River
Street, Fort Fort, in Westminster,
Presbyterian Church, Wilkes-Barre.
Rev. W, Herbert Sugden officiated.
Alice Laura Turner, sister of the
bride, was maid of honor, Chauncey
‘W. Turner, brother of the bride, serv-
ed as best man, and Miss Nancy Hef-
fernan was flower girl, Ring bearer
was Thomas Heffernan, 3rd and the
ushers included Richard Goff, Jona-
than Valentine, Ralph Walter, Robert
Youngblood, Walter Dean and Mah-
lon Davies. -
The bride was dressed beautifully in
a white velvet gown and. train, and a
long veil. She carried a lovely bou-
quet of white gardenias and lilies of
the valley.
Miss Turner wore turquoise velvet,
with an attractive corsage of yellow
roses and pom-poms, as did Miss Hef
fernan, who was dressed in pale peach,
with a turquoise sash.
Mrs. Turner, mother of the bride,
wore blue velvet with an orchid, and
Mrs. Evans, mother of the groom, was
dressed in green emerald velvet, and
also wore an orchid. A reception was
held after the wedding at 116 Hanover
Street. >
Mr. Evans is counsel for the Board
of Finance and Revenue at Harris-
burg, and the newlvweds will reside
at 1829 Whitehall Street, Harrisburg.
FIREMEN’S AUXILIARY
The Firemen’s Auxiliary will meet
‘Tuesday night November 15 at Tally’
Ho Grille. All members are urged to
be present. The auxiliary wishes to
express its appreciation to all who
helped with the lunch on election day
and the traveling baskets.

Annual Turkey Supper
To Be Held November 17
The second annual turkey supper of
the Ella Moore Memorial Class of the
East Dallas M. E. Church will be held
on November 17 at the East Dallas
Church. Decorations will be in keep-
ing with the Thanksgiving holiday.
Following the supper the orchestra of
the P. M. Church of Plains will give
a program.
Miss Elizabeth Love is general chair-
man. There will be no tickets sold ex-
cept at the door but reservations can
be made by calling Miss Love at
