New Activity Is Taken As Promise Of More Construction Another survey of Route 92, between Dallas and Tunkhannock, has been made by Wyoming County Commis- sioners, in compliance with a request by the area office in Scranton, accord- ing to advices from Tunkhannock this week. The news raised hopes for con struction of another section of con- crete pave along the much-traveled highway. The County Commissioners accom- panied officials of the Department of Highways on an inspection tour and although there was no official state- ment, the opinion was advanced that bids will be sought on the contract within a short time. “If this proves to be the case,” com- mented the Wyoming Democrat, “it will be mighty good news to the peo- ple generally and particularly to those whose good fortune it is to live in the Noxen sector but whose misfortune it has been all too long to have to travel over the old road covered by this pro- posed building plan. It is doubtful if there is a piece of highway in the State with more grief to a rod than on this particular stretch.” Tt has been many years since the project of a Tunkhannock-Dallas high- way improvement was first mentioned. The past few years have seen a con- siderable portion of this dream mater- ialize. That there may soon be more of it is good news, indeed.
