Rev. Lowry To Preach
At Trucksville M. E.
Rev. Harry M. Savacool, pastor of
the Trucksville M. E. Church, has an-
nounced that Rev. Esduas Lowry, su-
perintendent of the Wyoming Confer-
ence Children’s Home in Binghamton,

Township Eleven
Sixth In League
Swoyerville Ties Wyoming
For First Place In
‘B’ Conference
The battle for supremacy in the Lu-
zerne County Scholastic Football
League was partially decided Wednes-
day night when Swoyerville toppled
West Wyoming High 14-0 and
moved to the top of the heap from
second place.
Swoyerville’s triumph has changed
the percentage ratings of the top
teams to such an extent that the first
five teams have about an even chance
to take the B conference champion-
ship. Kingston Township High School
with one win, one tie and two losses, in
conference games, has slipped from
second place to sixth place in the last
two weeks, and with only one confer-
ence game left to play, Forty Fort, the
Trucksville squad has little chance of
climbing to the top.
The team ratings, as of October 24,
find West Pittston in third place, with
.291 points; Duryea in fourth place,
with .275; Shickshinny in fifth place,
with .242; Kingston Township sixth,
with .187, and Clarks Summit, Exetey,
Forty Fort, Ashley, West Wyoming
and Pittston in that order.
