Reunion
Mooretown experienced one of its
most successful events on Sunday on
the occasion of its first Home coming |
Day, sponsored by the Methodist Epis-
copal Church.
The all-day program was thoroughly
enjoyed by the large number who at-
tended. Former neighbors and old
friends were enthusiastic in their
praise of the entire affair and all
agreed that it should be made an an-
. nual event,
The morning program was arranged
by Miss Clara LaBarr, assisted by Rev.
Mark Kroehler and Basil Steele. Spe-
cial were offered by the
men’s orus, boys’ quartet, girls
chorus, jthe Adams children, men’s tric,
andagn, Cecil Moore, Mrs. Harry
Neta Smith, George Stroud,
Smith and Cliffofd Stroud, Jr.

who is a local preacher of the Maple
. Grove Quarterly Conference. Mr. Steele
stressed the importance of all mem-
bers of a community sharing the re-
sponsibility of building a Christian
community.
“Some people,” he said, “are desir-
ous of benefiting from the advantages
of a Christian community but are not
willing to do anything themselves to
promote that type of community.”
