The members of the eighth grade
recently surprised their teacher, Miss
Frances Dymond, at her home. Those
present were Marian Brace, Jean Em-
manuel, Vivian Volpeous, Beryl and
Beatrice Brigham, Alice Evans, Lil-
lian Bell, Jack Fowler, Lewis and Ross i
Bedford, and George Evans.
Mrs. Myrtle Kunkle entertained her
club Wednesday afternoon.

ry, Mrs. Freda Perry, Mrs. Mary Em-
manuel, Mrs. Savilla Cain, Mrs. Myrtle
Miller, Mrs. Sarah Smith, Mrs. Eva

Jackie Cain, Paul Kunkle, Anita Em-
manuel, and Mrs. Myrtle Kunkle.
Miss Edna Roushey has returned to
her home at Shavertown after visit-
ing Mrs. F. A. Snyder.
Mr. and Mrs. George Wioolever, Mr.
and Mrs. Roy Woolever, Gene and
Bobby Woolever of Vestal, N. Y., were
week end guests of Herbert Woolever.
Wesley Dymond has purchased a
new Dodge sedan.
Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Sickler visited
Miss Mary Hastie at Pittston, Friaay
night.
Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Agnew were lo-
cal eallers Saturday night,
Alozo Bailey who underwent an op-
eration at the General Hospital some-
time ago has returned home much im-
proved.
Paul Jones who is stationed at a
CCC Camp near Binghamton, N. Y.,
was a week end guest at the home of
