Mon- roe County has not been able to pave it and could not afford to match, the State on a fifty-fifty proposition. So Wyoming Valley Motor Club decided to bring together at a meeting every- body interested and solicited aid from all towns between Elmira, New York, and Philadelphia. On February 27, 1930, last year, a meeting was called by Wyoming Val- ley Motor Club, inviting reresentatives from Philadelphia, Faston, Saylors- burg, Effort, Stroudsburg, Wilkes- Barre, Tunkhannock, Wyalusing, To- wanda, Sayre and Elmira to consider some way to bring about this very much needed improvement. This meet- ing was held at the Benjamin Franklin Hotel in Philadelphia, and men from service organizations, motor clubs, ete, made brief talks and suggestions.
