Glen Little, Loretto, |
To Be Buried Friday
Glenn M. Little, 60, of Loretto,
died Tuesday, Dec. 27, at 7:15 p.
ni. He was a son of Joseph V. and
Eleancr (Stauffer) Little, botn
deceased, and was born in Lona-
coning Md. Nov, 2, 1889. Mr.
Little had been employed as a
U. S. Mail carrier on the Loretto
Route for the past 32 years.
He is survived by his widow,
the former Luella Sherry, and the
following children: Mrs.
Phelps of Philadelphia and Rich-
ard, Robert and Louise at home.
He was a brother of C. V. Lit-
tle of Temple City, Calif.; C. M.
Little of Baltimore, Md., and A.
J. Little of Annapolis, Md.
He was a member of St. Mich-
ael's Catholic Church, Loretto,
where funeral services will be
held on Friday morning at 9 a.
m. Interment will be made in the
church cemetery.
Cambria Co. Road
Deaths Show Drop
Cambria County reported a de-
crease in highway fatalities for
the first 10 months of 1949.
The report of the Bureau ot
Highway Safety shows 27 fatal-
ities in this county for the 10
months, compared with 29 for the
same period in 1948, a decrease
of two.
A definite aownwara trend was
noted in urban traffic fatalities in
Cambria County. There were nine
fatalities in incorporated com-
munities up to Oct. 31 this year,
compared - with 14 last year, a
drop of five. There was an in-
crease of three deaths in rural
areas with a total of 18 this
year.
Eleven of those killed on the
county highways this” year were
pedestrians. Others killed were
operators or passengers in motor
vehicles,
Driver In Colver Wreck
Charges will be filed against
one driver as a result of a two-
car accident near Ebensburg on
the Colver road. Police said Tom
Wilkie of Colver will be charged
with operating his automobile af-
ter his driver's license had been
revoked by state authorities,
Wilkie’'s car went into a skid
olice said, and struck a machine
perated by Charles Lagana, also
of Colver. Damage was estimted
at $900.
