Glade Lawson, better known as “Ducky” is spending a twenty-five day furlough at home. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Lawson, and | has just returned from three years of overseas duty. Four birthdays were celebrated on December 8th—Mrs. Charles Cole was 44, Miss Rose, 17; Mrs. William Hughes, Jr., 14, and David Hale, who is serving with the Army somewhere in England. Mrs. Patsy Cuomo who had been a patient at the Altoona hospital, now is recuperating at home. Mrs. John Vinglish has been admit- ted to the Mercy hospital in Altoona for general observation. Regis Hertzog received a severe la- ceration of the left thumb which re- quired many sutures. It is amusing to know that two young excited hunters traced cow tracks a great distance expecting to get a thirty-point buck. Twa deer were killed during last week by Mr. Paul Gionfriddo and Mr. Melvin Conway. Mr. and Mrs. Sandy Perino recent- ly attended a banquet held in Moose Hall at Cresson. They were also ac- companied ‘by Misses Thelma and Margaret Perino, Pfc.
