Ep. MOORE,
Borough Clerk.
Patton, Pa. April 16, 1906.
Regret His Departure.
The Rev. Joseph F. Anderson, for
geveral years past the successful pastor
of Simpson Methodist Episcopal
church, left the city with his family at
4 o'clock Thursday afternoon for his
new field of labor at Patton. Mr. An-
derson made a host of friends here by
his christian character and gentlemanly
deportment and all are sorry that the
fortunes of the itinerancy have sent
him out of the city to another pastor-
ate. The Tribune unreservedly com-
mends him and his worthy family to
the confidence and good will of the
people of Patton, And it sends with
Mr. Anderson its appreciation of the
thoughtfal and courteous manner in
which he treated its representatives
upon very many occassions during his
residence here, and its sincere hope
that his new home may prove congen-
ial in every respect and that he may
come to the close of the conference
year feeling that he has been able to do
a good work.—Altoona Tribune.
ARTIFICIAL LIMBS.
Those in need of artificial limbs,
braces, etc., should write to J. Ww.
Thompson, the veteran manufacturer
* of Pittsburg. He was in our town
and vicinity this week and measured a
pumber for limbs, among the rest Mrs.
Wm. Gauntner, of tipple No.3, Mr,
Thompson has been in this line of busi-
_ ness for 36 years and uses an artificial
leg himself. He will be back to take
‘other measures for limbs and braces
in a few weeks and those wishing to
consult with him in regard to such ap-
. pliances should address him in the
meantime,

The police are finding us out.
Officer L. H. Pinney, of Erie, Pa.,
* painted his house Devoe, perhaps two
or three years ago—the tale don’t tell
when—the painter objected, but Pin-
ney insisted.
Two neighbors of Pinney’s have
painted since; one lead-and-oil, the
gther some other paint, don’t know
what.
But Officer Pinney lives in the nicest
painted house of the three. The rest
of the story we don’t know; what it
cost the three to paint. We can guess;
about half for Officer Pinney.
Yours truly,
F. W. DEVOE & Co.

‘DO IT TO-DAY!"
“And to think that ten months ago I looked like
this! Iowe it to German Syrup.”
(The time-worn injnnction, *‘ Never put
off ’til to-morrow what you can do to-
day,” is now generally presented in this
form : ‘Do it to-day I"’ That is the terse
advice we want to give you about that
hacking cough or demoralizing cold with
which you have been struggling for sev-
eral days, perhaps weeks, (Take some
reliable remedy for it To-pAv—and let
that remedy be Dr. Boschee’s German
Syrup, which has been in use for over
thirty-five years. A few doses of it will
undoubtedly relieve your cough or cold,
and its continued use for a few days will
cure you completely. {No matter how
deep-seated your cough, even if dread
consumption has attacked your lungs,
German Syrup will surely effect a cure—
as it has done be fore in thousands of ap-
parently hopeless cases of lung trouble.
