Manges, a wholewale lumberman «of Philadelphia, has just closed a deal with Heidrick, Coleman. Osborn & Co., of this place for 16,000, 000 feet of white pine lumber. The lumber will be manufactured for the Philadelphia market, at the rate of 4,- 000,000 to 5,000,000 feet per year. “This is one of the largest deals in white pine lumber made in this State for years, and representa about $350,000, — Brook - ville, Pa, Republican. i A Sirious Fall. Mrs. Westover, wife of Joseph West- over, Br. who: lives at. Westover met with quite a serious accident on Sun- day. She was going lo a spring house close by her horw when she. slipped and fell dislocating her hip joint. She is about 83 years old and it is thought will not stand the shock as the accident has caused her considerable suffering. ‘Dr. Park, the attending physician pronounces her case very serious. After spending a few hours in town among friends they de- parted for Johnstown. A sleighing party from Conemaagh stopped at vhe Central hotel, on Friday evening, and after partaking of a choice supper, the tablés were removed from the dining room and dancing was indulged in until nearly 2 o'clock when the party departed for their homes.
