This question, whether and liow lost
men may ho saved, is answered by
Christianity nlono. For tho Son of

of salvation is through Jesus Christ,
who says " I am tho way, and the truth,
and the life. No man comcth to tho

God so loicd the world as to give his
only begotten Son, that whosoever be
hevath in Him may not perish, but may
have life everlasting." John IS, 1G
Here we come to the doctrine that
there is a plurality of persons in the
Godhead. (I use tho term person for
want of a brtter ; nnl perhaps
no explanation is needed here.)
Jesus Christ who is the Sen of man,
as well as tho Son of God whoso
" narao is called tho Word of God"
(Rev. 19, 13) " u-na in tho beginning
with God." He "is therefore without
beginning, that is, denial. And since
" the word was with God, and the word
tens God," we perceive that there is in
the divine Being a distinction of person
ibut identity of suostance. " God," i. e.
in the person of the Father, " sent Jus
S'on into the world," and this was that

The saci jQ jo of Christ, being of luQ

of all men ; and all arc invited to par

the good news are commanded to tell it

Now if all this be true, it is of equal

importance to every on. If it le so
