THE CANVAS GLOVE BUSINESS
A few y64rs ag6 ft number of small
canvas gloves factories were started in this
section of the country, encouraged at the
time bjr a Toledo concern which was
promoting tlfe Industry. Of these, many
lasted but a short time and were abandon
ed. But from the success that has attend
ed a few it would seem that the business
does possess genuine opportunities for
success if the right men get at the head of
the companies. The Bethlehem Fabric
Manufaturing Co., started on a very small
scale in a basement, has grown so rapidly
that now, according to the Leader, they
are incorporating the company with a
capitalization of $15,000. and are arranging
for the manufacture of gloves on a large
scale.
