Mrs. Edna Myers Ellis and daughter,
Myrtle, of Buffalo, N. Y., are visiting
J. A. Myers and family on Hill street.
Mr. and Mrs. L. J. McEntire were in
Emporium last Friday evening assist
ing the Grand Officers of the Order of
the Eastern Star in Instituting a new
chapter In that ci'y. They cannot
speak too highly of the entertainment
given them by the citizens of that
beautiTul little city.
E. ft. Murphy, of Norfolk, Va., is
visiting his sisters. Miss Ella Murphy
and Mrs, Elvira Z'itler, In and near
Reynoldsville. Mr. Murphy, who holds
a responsible position with a large
railway having head ollices at Norfola,
suffered a breakdown in health a few
weeks ago and was ordered by his
ph.?leiin to rest for a time and is in
Reynoldsville on his enforced vacation.
