State To Distribute Anti-Tetanus Serum
For Free Use of Poor.
Health Commissioner Dlxun plan to
fight for1 be lives of poor children of
Pennsylvania who may be In danger of
tetaous by distributing anti-tetanus
serum free of charge to such needy
ones as may be lojured by explosives on
July 4. .
The serum will be distributed '. at
forty-two points throughout Pennsyl
vania, chosen by reason of tbelr ac
cessibility. The danger of tetanus
from explosive wounds is very great, as
the appalling sacrifice of lives In the
past Bbows. If, promptly after the
wound Is received, the Injured one is
treated with immunizing doses of anti
tetanus serum tbe danger of lockjaw
developing is warded off.
Those tetanus anti toxin stations will
furnish the serum on the application of
a physician wbo certifies that It U fur
the use of an Indigent case.
The anti-tetanus Beriim will be given
out by the State from the following

Tbe stockholders of tbe Jefferson and
Clearfield Coal and Iron Company.- a
corporation organised and existing uner
the laws of theCommonwealih of Pennyl
vanla, with Its principal office at Revu
oldsville, Jefferson county, Pennsylvania,
are hereby notified that a meeting will he
held at 10 o'clock a. m., on the twelfth day
of July, A. D. 1910, at the general office of
said company, to take action cn the approval
or disapproval of tbe proposed Increase of
the Indebtedness of said corporation, lu
pursuance of the following resolutions,
which were adopted by a majority of the
entire Board of Directors of the Jefferson
and Clearlie.d Coal and Iron Company, to
wit: i
"RESOLVED, That the Indebtedness of
the Jefferson & Clearfield Coal A Iron Com
pany be Increased from Two Million, One
Hundred and Forty-one Thousand ($i.l41,000l
Dollars to Pour Million, Six Hundred and
Forty One Thousand ($4,641,000) Dollars."
"RESOLVED, Tbat meeting of the
stockholders be called, to convene at the
general office of this company on the 12th
day of July, A. D. 11110, to take action on the
