In the strenuous effort to relieve himself he lost his set of false teeth and was let out of "cooler" before he missed the teeth, and he bled away home without the teeth. ' Father and Son Drown. Wednesday afternoon of last week John Bouvler, aged 44, and son, Joseph Bouvler, aged 20, employed In the glass plant at Punxsutawney, were drowned In Mahoning creek at' that place. Jo seph was In swimming and was seized with cramp. The father, who oould not swim, waded into the creek to help his -on out and the son seized the fath er and they both went down into a deep bole together. k Executed at Indiana. Miss Nulu Neale, a teacher in the Reynoldsville public schools, lt year and recently re-elected for another term, has been chosen assistant prin cipal of the Falls Creek high school and will resign her posltlou in the Reyn oldsvllle schools to accept the place. Miss Neale is a graduate of Allegheny College and in every way qualified for the position to which she bas been elected. Reception for New Pastor. An adjourned meeting of the stock holders of the Star Glass Company will be held in Reynoldsvllle to-morrow and at that time the machinery at the fac tory will be In operation so that the stockholders can see It working. This will be an important meeting, the re sult of which should mean that the Are will be lighted at an early date. Woman Taken to Jail. Last Thursday Constable W. W. Higglns arrested a woman on charge of keeping a disorderly and bawdy house. She was taken to the county jail to await trial at the August term of court. There are others who will be arrested If sufficient evidence can be secured. The officers find It difficult to get evidence to convict such people, and tor that reason are frequently un justly criticised. The law requires evidence In such cases same as for any other crime. Struck, "Financial Rocks" at Sligo Satur day and Will Not Show at Reynoldsville. . Last week our town was billed for Col. M. H. Welsh's circus to be In ReynoldBvllle to-day, July 14, but the expense of the show was greater than the recelps and the circus was wrecked on the "financial rocks" at Sllgo Satur day and, hence, the show will not come to our town to-day, much to the dis appointment of the small boy and older people who enjoy a clrouB. Judging from the flaming posters and the state ments on the handbills advertising the Show it would have been a good one, but lack of patronage forced the circus to go out of business. Waters was sworn in last Thursday as dog police to enforce the dog ordinance during July and August. Before evening Policeman Waters ar rested a dog and the owner of the dog ohoKed the polioenten in trying to get bis dog away from him.
