    THEY INJURE CHILDREN
Ordinary Carthartics and Pills and Harsh
Physic Cause Distressing Complaints.
You cannot be over-careful in the selec
tion of medicine for children. Only the
Tery gentlest bowel medicine should ever
be given. Ordinary pills, cathartics and
purgatives are too apt to do more harm
- than good. They cause griping, nausea
and other distressing after-effects that are
frequently health destroying and a life
lasting annoyance.
We personally recommend and guarantee
Rexall Orderlies as the safest and most
dependable remedy for constipation and
associate bowel disorders. We have such
absolute faith in the supreme virtues of
this remedy that we sell it on our guarantee
of money back in every Instance where it
fails to give entire satisfaction, and we
urge all in need of such medicine to try it
at our risk.
Rexall Orderlies contain an entirely new
ingredient which is odorless, tasteless and
colorless. It embraces all the best quali
ties of the soothing, laxative, strengthening
and healing remedial active principles of
the best known intestinal regulator tonka.
Rexall Orderlies are extremely pleasant
to take, are particularly prompt and agree
able in action, may be taken at any time,
day or night; do not cause diarrhaa, nausea,
riping, excessive looseness, or other un
esirable effects. They have a very natural
action upon the glands and organs with
which they come in contact, act as a posi
tive and regulative tonic upon the relax,
dry muscular coat of the bowel, remove
Irritation, dryness and soreness, overcome
weakness, and tone and strengthen the
I nerves and muscles, and restore the bowels
' and associate organs to more vigorous and
healthy activity.
Rexall Orderlies not only cure constipa
tion, but they remove the cause of this
ailment. They also overcome ths neces
sity of constantly taking laxatives to keep
the bowels in normal condition.
There Is really no similar medicine so
good as Rexall Orderlies, especially for
children, aged and delicate persons. They
are prepared in tablet form and In two
sixes of packages; I J tablets, toe, and 3?
tablets, 25c, '

Br'er Groundhog Did
See His Shadow.
Official Pronounciment From
the Weatherworks Settles
The Dispute.
Did the groundhog see his shadow?
Every town reports a different tale of
the weather February - 2nd. In the
dilemma the Punxsutawney Spirit pre
emptorily settles the question tbualy: '
''If the populace would get Its reports
first hand from the "main office at the
Punxsutawney Weatherworks, it would
not get misled about what happens on
Groundhog Day. The sun did eblne
brightly, for a full, solid Ave minutes
at the Weatherworks last Tuesday, and
that settles It. What the state of the
climate was on other portions of the
earth cuts no figure. What reports the
mundane weather bureaus sent out
Mondav cuts no Ice, further than to
prove that from Willis Moore, who has
charge of the main office at Washing
ton, D C, on down the line, they are,
In the language of the New York Sun,
about ''as useless for prophetic pur
poses as a smokehouse," and we may
add, with the Sun prognostlcator In
cluded. Br'er Groundhog, through bis official
prognostlcians,' has spoken. We are
promised 57 varieties of weather before
the first of March, and, as we hare
had four kinds already, the chances
are that the official marmot will make
good.

The Tale of a Dollar.
The mall order and sample agent
method of btijlng merchandise Is being
opposed systematically by the mer
chants of many towns, and In some in
stances the board of trade has tackled
the problem.
In Batb, New York, the evil has at
tained such porportlons that the Board
of Trade Is conducting a campaign of
education against the practice.- Be
low Is reprinted an article which the
board has had publlehed, and which
It agrees to pay for at so much per line:
"Ten years ago an Allen County,
Kan., farmer, put his Initials on a
dollar bill. The next day he went to
the nearest town, spent It with a mer
chant. Before the year was out be got
the dijar back. Four times In six
years trie dollar camo back to blm for
produce and three times he heard of It
In the pockets of bis neighbors. The
last time be got It back was four years
ago. He sent It to a mall order house.
He has never seen that dollar since and
never will. That dollar bill will never
pay any more school or road tax for
him, will never build or b"lghten any
homes of the community. He sent It
entirely out of the zone of usefulness
to himself and to his neighbors when
he Bent It to the mall order house.
The moral Is plain."
