GOOD' NEWS FOR LOVERS OF THE
WEED.
Popular Drug Store to Co-operate with
National Cigar Stands Co. in Sale
of Tobacco Products.
The opening of the National Cigar
Stand In Stoke & Feicht Drug Co.'s
store in Reynoldsville will be an event
of unusual Interest to smokers. It will
be the first opportunity for the smokers
of Reynoldsville to lest the benefits de
rived from the great union of 2,000 cigar
stands under the National Cigar Stands
Company's emblem. . .
The stand Itself will prove as much of
a revelation to smokers and dealers as
will the price-red unlng methods of this
great concern. For beauty and utility
in preserving cigars the stand in Stoke
,& Feicht Drug Co.'s store is indeed
.unique.
The National Cigar Stands Company
was formed by some 2,000 American
Druggists who wished to combine the
purchasing power of their cigar stands
into one powerful market-controlling:
concern. Through the company, these
druggists can buy in such vjist quanti
ties' that they control their own fac
tories, produce their own brands and
bring cigars direct from factory to
smoker at prices closer to the actual
cost of production than has ever been
known.
By 'lelivering cigars direct from pro
ducer to smoker the National Ciga"
Staods Company eliminates from their
cigar prices four profits, that ordinarily
go to middlemen and jobbers. This
saving Is given to the smoker In the
form of lower prices on equal cigars or
in better values for the same price.
By producing in enormous quantities,
eliminating the jobber's profits and
selling direct, with little expense for
rent and no expense for extra clerk
hire, it is not surprisi' g ihat National
Cigar Stands are able to give to smok
ers cigars of the usual 3 for-25c quality
for 5c ; ten cent cigars at 6c ; and so
on, up to the very finest class of im
ported Eavanas.
LETS GET ACTIVE.
Why We Don't.
We Tere asked this week by a delin
quent subscriber why we kept on send
ing the paper after the subscription
date had expired. Every weekly news
paper in towns of this size are forced to
do this. , ShouVl w stop subscriptions
when time expirm nine times out of ten
the cubcriber would give us a "calling
down" for insinuating that his credit
was not good. Rather than to cast a
reflection against the honesty of a sub
scriber to pay a small debt, it is
next to a necessity for a home paper to
continue sending the paper after the'
time has expired. It Is not necessary
for the city dailies and weeklies to
follow this rule, as their subscribers
live at a distance and are not personal
friends as is the case with a number of
our subscribers. Our subscribers should
deem it an honor to know that we do
not doubt their integrity and continue
to send them the paper after their time
has expired. New Bethlehem leader,

Live Board of Trade or Commercial Club
Badly Needed.
At present time Reynoldsville Is very
much In need of a live bntird of trade or
commercial club, in fact we must have
some kind of a live organization, be it
called board of trade or some other
name, or our town will not progress as
it should do. Every now and again we
bear of some industry that is looking
for jus such a location as Reynoldsville
can give, a splendid free Bite, cheap
fuel, good railroad facilities, and other
advantages, but we do not have a board
of trade to take up the matter and some
other town gets the industries. The
town papers have from time to time
urged upon the people the importance
of getting industries to locate here, but
the newspapers are not a board of
trade, they do not have free lands or
money at their disposal with which to
draw industries to Reynoldsville. How
ever, the newspapers can and will lend
their support to any movement looking
towards the promotion of commercial
enterprise, but a board of trade with
everylnterested citizen, at least every
business man, a member of the same, is
the right wny to go after these enter
prises. We mu9t be active If 'we land
Industries In our midsts, and If we go
after them In earnest we will get some
of them. Try it.

Here's An Example
of the way the National Cigar Stands save the smoker money
Here 's a full, plump Perfecto, made by hand of selected secd-and-Havana leaf. It is just such a cigar as is sold in the
average cigar store at 8 for 25 cents ; a fragrant, mild, smooth combination that pleases more smokers than any other class of
cigars known to the trade. This is its name and label both will be famous:
4"7aGAi stamp a
Its price, (i0 Perfecto or Bouquet $lxm) is
FIVE CENTS STRAIGHT
This 8 for 25-cent quality at 5 cents is a good example of the result reached by this combination of 2,000 drug store cigar
stands into a single, compact, powerful buying concern. It cuts out profits and expenses that have heretofore nearly doubled
the cost of cigars. National Cigar Stands now give the same qualities often at Awhat they used to cost, always tor less.
