Charles Wolfgang, of near this place,
but who has been working at Ernest,
Indiana Co., came home last Thursday
and brought with him a bride. Ills
numerous friends join In wishing him a
long life of happiness.

The Paradise Grange Is In tho most
prosperous condition It hus been In for
several years. The old members are
taking more Interest than ever and a
great many new members htve been
added to tho roll during tho last two
months and prospects aro that there
will be many more added In a few weeks.
Ex-School Teachers' Day.
Prof. R. B. Tcltrlck, County School
Superintendent, announces thnt Tues
day, December 20, of Institute week,
had been designated as Ex-Sehool
Teachers' Day. The object Is to furnish
an occasion for tho reunion of tho teach
ers who wore formerly employed In
this county, but who are now engaged
in othor pursuits. To all such a spocial
Invitation is extended to be present on
that day. In addition to the Interest
each teacher will feel In again meeting
his former colleagues, Prof. Toltrick
has secured Dr. A. A. Willols, of New
Jorsoy, who will doliver his lecture,
"Sunshine," in the afternoon. Dr.

River Division Trains to Use the Brilliant
Cut-Off.
The Thanksgtvjng Progtam at the Public
Schools.
Last Wednosday afternoon, an It had
been announced, tho pupils of tho first
seven rooms nf tho public schools gHve
a Thanksgiving program. There wns a
largo number of paronts and friends
present to witness the exorcises. Two
numbers wore furnished by tho pupils
of each room and these, together with
several songs sung by tho school, con
stituted tho program Tho exorcises
were Interesting and they were groatly
enjoyed by tho audience. At tho close
of thn exercises Prof. U. B. Tel trick
gave a brief talk tt) tho pupils on the
meaning of Thnnksglvlng. After this
address tho pupils wont to their rooms
and at tho request of Prof. Smith the
most of tho visitors remained. Prof.
Toltrick spoko to them on the relation
which tho mothers sustain towards the
schools. Flo emphasized hearty co-operation
on the part of tho mothers with
tho tenebors in tho administration of
tho schools and pointed out tho fuct of
their great Importance, In the success of
the schools. Ho exhorted them to take
deeper and more active lutorest In their
welfare. This address was much ap
preciated by those present.
