HiiKAHxyJ Auditors. h. li. CiOIIll,SV I "At a Sunday School Missionary." Many do not understand the work of an American Sunday School Mltsionary. To givo such an Idea I want to glvo yon two months expertenco of myself In Venango county, Pa. I organized 4 Sunday schools with 15 teachers and 124 scholars, visited and aided a number othor schools; vlsltedl24 families having prayer and reading the word In many homos ; delivered 20 sermons and ad dresses and done personal work, leading some to a saving knowlodgo of Christ. I met many difficulties In organizing tho 4 schools. The first ono was In the southern part of the county. The peoplo did not want anything todo with me at first. I visited the homes and found that the place needed a Sunday school. Some objected to my organiz ing, saying it would not live, but I organized It just the same, a school of 50 or AO scholars. The people got Interested and raised $21 to put a new roof on the house. Since then I have been back and preached there at the old Rod Lyon church about 10 days, having 0 conversions. Somo times I visited homes and found no bible there. I would leave them ono. One place whore there wore about 20 children and I could not get a place for a Sunday school, and twice I went there and talkeo to the child red in open air. Personal work Is a very Important part of the work. I was going down to Oil City ono night on a train and I sat down beside a young woodsman. Iturn od to him and asked htm if he was a christian. Ho said he was not, but his mother was. I Bald whore Is your mother ? Ho said "In Heaven." I then anked him, don't you want tomeether? He taid he did. I then asked him If he would become a christian by accepting Jesus Christ as his Saviour. He said he would. By that time we were at Oil City and on streets of that city we held good our decision. I want to say that such work as tho missionaries are doing is greatly needed every where. Since then I have been in a number of school houses and neglected churches, preach ing tbe gospel of glad tidings which has been received with joy. J. E. KlRKWOOD. Ntnrtlllllf Kvldonre. Frosh testimony In great quantity Is constantly coming in, declaring Dr. King's Now Discovery for Consumption, Coughs and Colds to bo unequalled. A recent expression from T. J.
