Many of tho candidates, however, who
had seen tho fearful and "wonderful
convolutions, contortions and grimaces
of others on tho goat's back heaved a
sigh of relief and said that hl lops was
their gain. Poor Billy ! His death
was a most pathetic one, and it only
goes to provo that a gout may stand a
great deal of hard work hut not initia
tion of over ono hundred candidates In
one night. Some contended that tho
goat had been starved to death, but a
post mortum examination revealed tho
fact that he had eaten for his supper
7 tomato cans, 2 suits of underwear off
of somebody's clothes lino, 5 old gum
boots, 4 pounds of nails, quart bottles
and a number of small vials, a lot of
barbwire and two joints of stove pipe.

are praying to tho Lord of tho harvest
and asking Him to stir up His people

A startling Incident Is narrated by
John Oliver, of Philadelphia, as follows
"I was in an awful condition. My skin
was almost yellow, eyes sunken, tongue
coated, pain continually In back and
