ANY STRONG ARM WOMEN?
New Sheriff In New York Ready to
Name Fair Deputies.
New York, Jan. 2. If there is a
"strong arm woman, mentally nnd
physically," to quote the new sheriff,
Julius Harburger, who has a desire to
be n special deputy sheriff nnd can put
up a bond of $10,000 Sheriff Julius will
give her the badge and the authority.
"Why shouldn't n woman be n spe
cial deputy sheriff?" he nsked. "There
is no objection to them that I can see.
I believe In equal suffrage, nnd n wo
man should have the snrae rights ns n
mnn, even to being special deputy
sheriff. Lawyers, doctors, business
men nnd even these chaps who write
novels have been deputy sheriffs. Why
not a woman'"
So word Was carried to several of tho
women mentioned by Sheriff Julius
that he was on their side nnd that ho
was only waiting to hear from them.
To put It softly, they were surprised.
They would have to consider It seri
ously, said the ladles, before they
could make up their minds.
"I appreciate the lntellliron of thP ' I

! ARE MICROBES IN YOUR SCALP?
It Has Bon Proved That Microbe
Cause Baldness.
Professoi Unnn of Hamburg, Ger
many, and Dr. Sabourand, the leading
French dermatologist, discovered that
a microbe causes baldness. Their
theory has time and again been amply
verllled through research experiments
carried on under the observation of
eminent scientists. This microbe
lodges in the Sebum, which is the nat-
lll'nl ll.ltl ..11 nn.l I ...
j " ...... v... iiuu IIUUU IJUlUllUt'U LU
I flourish It destroys the hulr follicles
anil in time the pores entirely close,
and the scalp gradually takes on a
shiny appearance. When this happens
there Is no hope of the growth of hair
being revived.
We have a remedy vshrch will, we
honestly believe, remove dandruff, ex
terminate the microbe, promote good
circulation In the scalp nnd around the
hair roots, tighten and revitalize tho
hair roots, nnd overcome baldness, so
long as there is any life left In the hair
roots.
