Chestnuts For Winter Use.
A good plan for storing chestnuts for winter
use Is to place a small quantity of salt In the
bags with the nuts. They will then become
soft and sweet and any worms which happen
to be among them will bo driven out. The
bags will become covered with sweat caused
by the salt, but this will not impare the qual
ity of the nuts in tho slightest degree. This
plan Is followed by many persons, and Is con
sidered one of the best.
