Ho went to Peru 20 years ago and entered business. He became wealthy. During the rebellion of 1898 the rebels attacked his property, and when ho endeavored to defend it he was taken to tho public squaro of tho town, strung up by tho thumbs and otherwise maltreated. Ho still suffers from his Injuries.
