that Luna was a general of tho army
and that tho civil govornmont did not
concern him. Luna, on opening tho
reply at headquarters, in the prosenco
of his officers, exclaimed hotly:
"Ho will no doad tomorrow."

Agulnaldo, hastened to warn him, and
Agulnaldo called together 20 trusted
soldiers, fellow townsmen of his, and
stationed thorn around his house, with
Instructions to kill any one attempting
to enter, regardless of rank.
Luna appeared tho next day and saw
Agulnaldo at tho window.

"Agulnnldo has gono to Inspect

Luna then exclaimed: "You nro a
liar," drew his revolver, struck tho
guard and tried to force nn entrance

20 wounds. Luna's aide do camp was

Tho Spaniard's story has not en
tirely dispelled the doubts of Luna's
