All the witnesses seemed to favor tho latter. Tho husband made no denial of the chargo, but produced a post-office receipt he found at bis home, as ovidenco that tho wife bad been sending money to a paramour. Tbe defend ant was required to furnish $300 bail for trial at court, and bo did so, declaring that be would 6ever tbe domestic lelations. As the bail was being furnished the wife inti mated that she was willing to settle, but tbe husband rejected the overture. M'CORMICK AND BONNER. Lively anil fc.xcltlnp; Boxing llout Itetwcen Heavy-weights. The great crowd that packed tbe Quaker City Athletic Club at Philadelphia, Saturday nigbt, saw one of tbe best glove contests be tween heavyweights that has ever been seen in that city for a long time. Tbe principals were Jack Bonner and Jack-tlcCorniick, and the latter had a shade the best of the boxing. One thing that pleased the spectators was the fact that both men were trying their best to win. Bonner was off several times when a good, cool, cleau punch would have settled matters. During the first two rounds it was about an evon thing. Iu the third round McCormick's nose showed a little trickle of blood. In tbe latter part of this round Bonner made a brilliant rally, fairly raining the blows on McCormick's body and bead. But be could not stop "Mac."' In the fourth round Bonner forced McCormick, but he was wild, and to ward tbe close of the round be was tiring, and McCormick was evening matters up with some good left hand work, Tbe fifth round was a very warm argument from first to last. It was McCormick's round, and he got in some hot punches, although Bonner was not idle, and did a little punching on bis own account. The last round was not so exciting. Mc Cormick did tbe bulk of the leading and be landed many times. Bonner was trying to finish tbe bout with one punch, but the chance never came, although be lauded one punch on "Mac's" head that must have set MeCormlek's brain -buzzing. During Burgees Farrow's Ineum benoy of tbe office he has signed tbe orders, and tbey have been cashed without question. But now the question has been raised by some of tbe Councilman that the president should sign the orders, and as their borough solicitor's opinion is in favor of tbe Burgess, tho matter will come up before Council next meeting and if not amicably settled will be carried to court. In this and all other Schuylkill county towns, the president of Council has always signed tbe orders. Dr. Hull's Cough Syrup Is tbe best remedy for relieving and curing that asthma tic cough.
