Hospital on Wednesday. It was that of a 12-year-old
Italian girl, who came to tho dis
pensary for treatment. Superintendent
Lathiop found that her heart had shifted
from tho loft to tho right side. While there
have been a J"cw eases of tills kind, yet it is
nevertheless a rare one for this institution
and caused considerable suipiise. Superin
tendent Lathrop stated that ho could baldly
account foi it, but seemingly at sonio time or
other tho girl might have sull'ered ftom an
abcess on the lelt lung and in this way tho
heait may have been pushed oer to its
present position.
