Mrs. Jane Harrison, llie venerable mother
of Mrs. William Pooler, died at herdaughter's
linine in St. Clair lastSaturday evening, after
a brief illness. General debility was tlio
cause. Sho was eighty-three years of age,
and resided in America since lb(i7. Tlio
funeral took place to-day. Mr. aud Mrs.
Pooler were former residents of Shenandoah.
The news of tho death of William
Mitchell, Sr., at Mt. Cirmel, was receired
hero with profound sorrow by tho friends of
the lamily. Death lias visited tho family
circlo quite frequently during tho past year.
About a year ago Mrs. Mitchell died, and
yestorday mornlug her husband passed away.
The deceaseil was 73 years old, aud leaves six
children, all grown up, as follows i William
