Fortunately there were no lives loaf, all of the workmen liavlng gone to their liomei. The homes of David Itann, Jlmatiuel Kllnger and Daniel Osman. together with the out buildings and bRrns, were badly dam aired. Th powder mill is located about five miles from this city, but the force of the explosion shook nearly every building. The only person Injured was Mrs. Ilnnn, who was badly cut about the .ice and body and is prostrated from Use shock. The Itann residence Is lo cated nearly half a mile from the scene of the explosion, but the side of the house next to the powder mill was caved In by the force of the shock. Mr. and Mrs. Itann and Mrs. Kllnger were buried In their beds beneath the debris, and boulders weighing; 200 pounds were hurled through the sides of the duelling. The houses and furni ture were badly wrecked. Mr. Itann'H barn took fire, and his two horses and three cows, as well as all farming Implements, were destroyed. The powder company's barn was re duced to kindling- wood, and four head of stock were kll'ed.
