once since the death of bis brother, and then
she passed on onu side of tbo street and be

sho has not spoken to William Scbwlndt
since tho first trouble botwean him and her

a miner employed at tho Oilherton colliery
and residing on East Mabauoy street, re
ceived a painful wound on the loft arm last
oveniug. lie was riding up a slope on a gun
boat when a plank tumbled down tin slopo
and struck him on the arm, knocking him
oil' the gunboat. He fell cloar of the track
and saved himself from falling down the
slope" by clinging to tbo props at the side.
Word was received last night of the death
at St. Clair of Charles Hower, who was
formerly a nopular resident of this nlaeo.
The funeral will tako place on Thursday
morning.
