John Verbuski, a Polish miner aged S9

liery, was badly Injured yesterday. He was.
dressing off a shot and while In the act of
barring down a loose end of coal it suddenly
became uetatched and knocked him down the
breast. His head and face were horribly
bruised and cut, his left shoulder dislocated,
and body badly contused. Ho was taken to
the Miners hospital, but it is feared that hia
Injuries will prove fatal. His wife and four
children reside in town.
