A distieising and probably fatal accident
occurred on tbo Schuylkill Traction Com
pany's line last night, by which John Har
rick, of Mahauoy Plane, will probably los-o
his life. The car was iu chaigo of ltobert
Klceae, inotoriiian, and Frank Flaherty,
conductor, aud tho accident occurred at
10:13 o'clock last night. Harrick was laying
on the track in a drunken stupor, Tbo car
passed over his body, cutting oft" his right
leg at tho knee, left leg Uully smashed and
right sido horribly bruised, lie was re
moved to tbo Miners' hospital, anil Ills re
covery U doubtful. Harricks Is sixty years
of ago and is a widowor.
