ho seemed to have a great many questions
to ak. Ho presented Mrs. Grant with
somo valuable dross stuffs and two lnrgo
boxetof tea. Tho party at Colonel Grant's
houso were served with refreshments aud
tho viceroy consented to drink a cup of
tea, with some bread. It was tho first par

Li Hung Chang left this morning on tho
dispatch boat Dolphin for Wost Pi,int. Ho
is accompanied by tho members of his

government who are attending him dur

losntlon today it was said that .it had
been determined thnt Ll Hung Chang
would visit this city next Thursday, ar
riving here at night. It is believed that

but that Ll Hung Chang will on Friday
be quietly escorted to the Capitol and
other public bulldlnis.
