night. Tho robbers ransacked the cellar,
which contains no doors, and took tho beor

tho saloon was left unmolested. Tho rob

Bertha, three-year-old daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Charles Oirbol, of West Applo
alley, died yesterday from membranous
croup.
Mrs. Cathanno Kneluon, after an illness
of ten weeks, died at her homo in Park
Placo yesterday. Sho is survived by a hus
band, two sons and four daughters.
Harry It. Cushen, of Malianoy City, who
has been a drug clerk in Krebs' pharmacy for
several years, died thero yesterday. His
death was very sudden, caused by pneu
monia. Tho deceased was to marry Miss
Ellio Krebs this week. His homo is in
Hagcrstown, Md., and ho camo to Malianoy
City from Philadelphia to manage tho drug
store of Harry Krebs shortly after the lot
tcr's injury lu a railroad accident last Oc
tober. 1

The Easter opening of Mrs. J. J. Kelly,
on South Main btreet, for their beautiful

The funeral of Thomas LI. Williams took
placo this afternoon from the family residonco
at Ellaugowan nnd was attended by many
well known mining ollicials. Services wero
held in tho Welsh Baptist church, on West
Oak street, ltor. D. I. Evans officiating. Tho
remains were interred in the Odd Fellows'
cemct6ry. The pall bearers wero Messrs. A.
D. Gablo, James V. Davis, Edward Capper,
Marshal Baugh, Luke Bowen and Thomas U.
