As the door opened a masked man gniblied .Mrs. Herman by tho throat and savagely Iwat and kicked her. The woman fainted nnd ran give no account of what transpired after tho first attark. When Mr. Herman returned for bis break fast ho found his wife lying on t)io lloor fwiloring from a convulsion. Ho summoned tho neighbors and medical attendance and Sirs.
