"WltX the Borough Council deadlock be
liroken tonight, or will the people and the
water works have to wait another two
weeks, or longer, until the Councilmen get
ready to transact business ?
Sri'EitiNTBNDUNT Hettkhidgb made a
good showing with the water works pumps
when he was tilling the reservoir at
Fowler's Ituu. Now let the Councilmen
get the water into the town without delay
nnd give the people some return for tho
arge investment that has been made.
When the average man is seeking elec
tion to the Borough Council he ruptures his
vocal organs in efforts to impress upon the
minds of the people that he wants an
election simply to serve the people and
that politics, patronage, or personal in
terest in no way iutlueuco bitn. But after
lie gets there, what a change ! Let us
ponder over the present Borough Council
deadlock, for instance.

"But evil is wrought by want of thought,
Ah well as want of heart."
By want of thought mothers allow
daughters to become frail and puny. Over
study in girls induces uterine disorders
and weaknesses, and blights their future
happiness as wives and mothers. Joined
to proper hygienic care, Dr. Pierce's Fa
vorito Prescription is a priceless remedy in
such ailments, its value becoming even
more apparent every year. Using it, the
wan, debilitated school girl gains color,
ilesb and spirits, losing those deathly head
aches, tormenting backaches, languor,
dejection, and other symptoms of func
tional irregularities, and nervous debility.
It never harms the most deliunte girl.

Nahcoti-Cure is the only remedy in the world that acts directly
on the nerves and drives the nicotine from the system' in from four
to ten days. It leaves the patient in better" health than before taking,
and is warranted free from any injurious ingredients.
Narcoti-Cure is popular because it allows the patient to, use all
the tobacco he wants while under treatment, or until the "craving"
and' ''hankering" arc gone. It is then no sacrifice to throw away
tobacco forever.
NAncoTi-Cuun is sold at the uniform price of $5.00 a bottle, and
one bottle cures.
Money refunded if a cure is not effected when taken according
