Glbbs had resisted, and in tho tusslo hnd
been shot, Tho district attorney has found
tho disguise which Sadlo woro on tho night
and other corroboratlvo evidence and bo
lioves ho has a strong case.
Tho defense will bo that tho Koblnsons
mado a bogus confession to get out of tho
Cleveland trouble. Their counsel, Messrs.
Wlllard W. Snpcrstouo, of this city, and
ox-.Tudgo Lucius Q. Hurdosly, of Mount
Vernon, O.. purposes to put upon tho
prosecution tho burden of proof, and ex
pect to clear their clients by reason of the
fact that there woro no oye witnesses to

about 10 o'clock. Sadlo was gowned In
black, Her short hair had boon subjected
to the crimping irons until it hung In ring

buttons. Her dark bluo Hat hat was tho

A Professional Forger Arrested.
New Youk, March 13. Alphonso Vail
aire, who has sovoral aliasos, was arrostcd
yesterday on a chargo of passing forged
checks for amounts ranging from $10 to
$60. Vallalro was sent to Sing Sing three

Vallolro was accompanied by a good loos
ing young woman, who, ho claimed, was
his wife. In thoir room was found a bank
book on tho First Nntlonnl bank of Balti
more, and several stubs Indicate that tho
cheeks had been used. There was .also
found a typowrlttou letter from United
States Senator Vest, dated lit Washington
nnd addressed to Govornor Flower. Sen
ator Vest pleaded for Vallalro's pardon,
claiming that his father was a prominent
attorney in St. Louis. A bottlo contain
ing "knockout drops" was lound in tho
woman's possession. Tho prisoner gave
his name as Albort St. Clair, und his resl
