A letter was received hero yesterday dated Mlchl can Base, Sacramento county, Cal., ask ing whether Mr. and Mrs. Joel Blakesloy, an aged couple, living at Whlto Hill, near here, were still living. The letter was from their son, William Hlakesley, who had been absent thirty years, and whom his parents had given up for dead.
