Roger Charles Tichborno, tho rightful heir to tho tltlo and property, sailed from Havre for Valparaiso In 18u3, and tho following year sailed for Rio Janeiro In a vessel that foun dered at sea. A chancery suit was Insti tuted nnd his death legally proved In 1865. The claimant assorted befdro tho courts thnt ho and eight of tho crow of tho found ered ship were saved; that ho went to Australia, and lived there thirteen years under tho name of Castro, but had mar ried undor tho namo of Tlchborno.
