The Boston theatre was crowded to the
doors last night with an audience which
proved very enthusiastic. The play pre
sented was the farcical comedy, "Our Irish

whom may bo mentioned W. J. Mason,
Frank Davis, Victoria Walters and Kmily
Northrup.
There Is no medicine so often needed In
every home and so admirably adapted to
the purposes for which It Is Intended, ns
Chamberlain's l'aln Halm. Hardly a
week passes but some member of the
family has need of it. A toothache or
headache mny be cured by It. A touch of
rheumatism or neuralgia quieted. The
severe, pain of a burn or scald promptly
relieved and the soro healed In much less
time than when mediciuo hns to be sent
for. A sprain may bo promptly treated
before inllammatlon sets In, which In
sures a cure in about one-third of tho
time otherwise required. Cuts aud
bruises should receive Immediate treat
ment before tho parts become swollen,
which can only bo done when Pain Halm
Is kept nt hand. A soro throat may bo
cured before it becomes serious. A
troublesome corn may bo removed by
applying it twice a day for a week or two.
A lamo back may be cured ami several
days of valuable time saved or a pain In
tho side or chest relieved without paying
a doctor bill. Procure a fiO cent bottle nt
once and you will never regret It. For
sale by Gruhlcr Hros.

Charles II. Hobson, a Mt. Carmel In

natxl of John S. llousonick. Mr. Hobson
lias devoted considerable time during the
past sovon years tovthe invention of mine

as near perfection as any one can reach
and ho will stop work In that direction,
for tho present at least. Tho Shenandoah
Manufacturing Company has been using
Mr. Hobson'B patents In connection with
Its manufacture of mining caps for the
past five years nnd the company has se
cured the exclusive right to the use of Mr.
llobson's latest device. The patent is on
a device Inside the tin pinto upon which
the lamp rests. The hook of the lamp Is
held firm, so that, no matter what posi
tion tho wearer of the cap may assume,
the lamp will not swing to either side, or
drop forward. It Is said to be the most
-valuablo Improvement yet made In mining
caps. Mr. Hobson is a genius. He Is
working upon a number of other patentB
nnd among his friends is known ns the
Edison of tho region.
