THIRD EDITION
AUGUST FOR HEALTH,
It Must bo Whether You Tako
a Vacation or Not.
TakcTimo Now to Strengthen
Nerves and Body.
Soo That Every Part of the Body
Bocomos Well Fed.
Kleven months for business, for money-
mnklng, for absorbing work. Tnke Au
Ktyst for becoming strong nod well.
Get buck to your proper weight ; relieve
tho tired nerves of their irritability ; fill
the body with ruddy, vigorous, serviceable
blood. You will work to twloe the pur
pose with n olenr hend nnd n body undis
turbed by aches nnd pains.
Glvo I'aine's celery compound n fair
trial in August.
Weariness and lack of strength is a
matter of the nerves and brain. It Is the
exhaustion of the nerve centers that pro
duce tho feeling of lassltfulo and depress
ion. Digestion and assimilation nre tho first
to bccomo affected by diminished nerve
power, nnd as these functions nre so olose
ly connected with every part of the body,
tho entire system in their dlborder. Men
nnd women about middle ago take little
exercise, their blood becomes slow and
Impure and nil their important organB
sluggish, while n constantly increasing
load of anxiety and caro keeps their
nerves from being proporly nourished.
Such persons will find n steady gain in
health, In vigor nnd good spirits from
Palnc's celery compound taken steadily
through the month of August.
Tho reason for tho high regard In which
I'aine's celery compound is held by physi
cians for building up the weak, the sickly
and the nervous, is because all Its in
gredients arc known to medical men to
feed tho nervos and to provide pure and
rich blood for nil the weak pnrtB of the
body. Every trace of nervous exhaustion
disappears when the nerves that govern
the functions of the body nre thus abund
nntly supplied with their appropriate
food.
Tho disturbances of tho nervous sys
tem, whether neuralgia, rheumatism, de
bility, extreme nervousness or heart
trouble, are due to derangements in nu
trition. Headache, a sense of weight on
top of the head, a feeling of constriction
about the forehead; theso are very sig
nificant symptoms and should bo heeded.
Better and more completo nutrition is
demanded for the nervos and brain. Thin,
pale facos, wasted frames, unhealthy
skin and low spirits tell unmistakably of
blood too thin and poor to properly
nourish the body.
I'aine's celery compound brings an in
creased, natural appetite, assists tho as
similation of the food and quiets nnd re
stores a healthy nervous notion.
Now or Never.

EZETA'S CASE CONTINUED.
Salvador's CouniMtl OMnwi PostponAmAnt
Until Nept. 3.
San Fuancisco, Aug. 25. General An
tonio Ezctn and his fellow refugees from
Ban Snlvadorwero prisoners before Judge
Morrow, In the United States district
court, yesterday. Kzota, who Is a fine
physical specimen, with decided features
and oourtly bearing, was mo9t observed.
From his waistcoat hung a magnificent
gold chain, studded with diamonds. The
general's enemies In the court room
pointed It out as a relia of his cruel reign
In San Salvador. They said it had for
merly been the property of Carlos Men
denci, a millionaire planter, who had
been robbed of his wealth by the Ezetas,
and that the chain was among the spoils
greedily seized by Antonio.
After the process in the case had been
read the prisoners' counsel demanded an
Immediate hearing. They stoutly main
tained that the prisoners were political
refugees and were unlawfully detained,
and that they had been Illegally restrained
since June 6 last. Ezeta, it was argued,
was then president of the de facto govern
ment, and was afforded asylum on an
American man-of-war. At the time there
was no authority In San Salvador which
the United States government could recog
nize. The attornoys for San Snlvador ar
gued for a continuance pending the ar
rival of Important evidence. Judge Mor
row continued the case until Monday,
Sept. 8. Thereupon oounsel for the de
fense moved that the defendants be ad
mitted to bail. Judge Morrow took the
motion under advisement.
Meantime the prisoners will tnke up
quarters tt n hotel under guard.
IN SENATE AND HOUSE
Final Adjournment on Tuesday Next
Finally Decided Upon.
Washington, Aug. 25. The house was
In session hut fifty-five minutes, and then
adjourned until Monday. A sine die ad
journment resolution fixing the time as 2
p. m. Tuesday was adopted. An elTort
was made to have the Hill antl-anarchUt
bill amended so as to meet the objections
stated on the floor considered, but Mr.
English, of New Jersey, interposed an ob
jection. The prayer of the chaplain was the only
business transacted by the senate yester
day before going into executive session.
Not even the journals of yesterday and
the day before were read, the reading bav
ing been dispensed with at tho suggestion
of Mr. Harris (Dem.), of Tennessee. If
possible, the senate wore a more deserted
appearance than on Thursday, and the
day before, despite the fact that one Re
publican, Mr. Hlgglus, and two Demo
crats, Messrs. Camden and Butler, bad re
turned. After going Into executive ses
sion a few house bills were passed and
the house resolution providing for final
adjournment was ngreed to. The senate
adjourned until Monday noon.
